2020 Reflection

2020 Reflection

As we approach the end of 2020, we would like to start by wishing you happy holidays from all of us here at Accent!

Wow…2020 has no doubt been a challenging year – testing our resilience and flexibility to the utmost. For the last few months, words like social distancing, pandemic, crisis and masks have come into our everyday vocabulary, and we’ve all had to adapt to a ‘new normal’.

Looking on the bright side, SO many good things have come out of this year.

Here at Accent, we have come up with an acronym to remember all the positive things for us that have come out of the COVID-19 pandemic:

Care and Compassion

Overcoming Obstacles

Valiant

Innovation

Dedication

Care & Compassion: We have seen this a LOT over the past months; whether it is community support, delivering food to those that need it and many acts of kindness have kept us strong.

Overcoming Obstacles: Having encountered many obstacles, we have learned to tackle them – whether it is jumping over the hurdle of remote learning, embracing change in our classrooms, or overcoming each barrier that has blocked our path.

Valiant: Brave, courageous, heroic – we see this over and over again! Healthcare workers, teachers, parents, and anyone who has stood in the face of this pandemic to help others in need, we appreciate your valiant efforts over the last months.

Innovative: Throughout this time, we have seen the birth of many innovative ideas . All of a sudden, manufacturing plants found themselves developing hand sanitizer, sourcing and providing PPE supplies to keep us safe. Here at Accent, we worked closely with our supplier partners to provide PPE, acrylic shields, air purifiers, disinfectant sprayers, and other supplies for schools, offices, and healthcare environments.

Dedication: Perseverance, resilience, and dedication has been at the forefront of our lives – persevering through to the next challenge and dedicating ourselves to those around us.

As we move towards the light at the end of the tunnel, remember to stay positive and test negative!

Happy Holidays All, wishing you well as we approach 2021!
